Liebman’s has been located in the heart of downtown New Rochelle, on the corner of Church Street & Main Street, since 1926.  Family-owned and operated from its inception, this small town store with a big heart has seen both good times and bad.

The store originally sold fine children’s clothing that was produced right upstairs in its current location.  Throughout much of the Great Depression and early 1940’s, it primarily served the community as an upscale children’s clothing shop.  In the 1950’s, the production of children’s clothing moved to a new, larger factory, and the store branched out into other businesses.  It was around this time that Liebman’s started producing and selling camp uniforms.  As some of you may remember from your younger days, sleep away camp for children was incredibly popular in the 1950s, the 1960s, and even the 1970s.

In 1962, the second family to own and operate Liebman’s became the first to start selling school uniforms.  Since then, Liebman’s has become synonymous with school uniforms throughout Westchester County and the Bronx. It combines excellent customer service with top quality products at affordable prices.  Its goal, and its mission, is to meet and exceed all the expectations of its schools, its parents, and its students.

The newest generation to operate Liebman’s brings 19 years of experience to the store.  Jonathan Newman was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY.  He attended Salesian High School and then moved on to Iona College, where he earned a Master's degree in Business Management.  A proud product of Catholic education, Jonathan strives to assist all Catholic, Parochial, and private institutions.  From providing school uniforms to helping with fundraising, Liebman’s is completely committed to all of its schools and its parishes.
